# 04 — What you can't do (and what you can)

Part 4 of 7 · ← A nano in insurance · Index · Next → AI risks

Can

  • Describe products in plain language, with sources.
  • Compare products neutrally.
  • Answer factual questions ("what does civil liability cover?").
  • Show an indicative estimate — clearly labeled.
  • Connect the user to a human advisor (booking button).
  • Log interactions for later audit.

Cannot

  • Recommend a specific product to a specific user (= regulated advice).
  • Say "you are covered" or "guaranteed" without an insurer's warranty.
  • Show a binding price without the full pre-contractual documents.
  • Handle payment card numbers, health records, or ID documents (unless architected for that from day one).
  • Replace a human for binding, signing, or cancellations.
  • Sell digital goods, subscriptions, credits, or crypto (OpenAI platform rule).

If your idea falls in "Cannot," reshape it before writing any code.
